GE Error Codes

Open/Power Error — the refrigerator door has been open too long or power was interrupted.

Condenser Coil Temperature Error — the condenser coils are too warm, indicating poor heat dissipation.

High temperature alert — the refrigerator temperature has risen above safe limits.

Cooling fan malfunction — the fan circulating cold air has stopped or is running poorly.

High Pressure Alarm — the refrigerator sealed system is detecting high pressure, often after a power outage.

High Temperature Alert — refrigerator or freezer temperature has risen to an unsafe level.

Freezer Fan Fault — the freezer evaporator fan motor has failed or is obstructed.

Lid Switch Error — the machine cannot detect that the lid is closed.

Motor Control Error — the motor control board has detected a fault.

Unbalanced Load — the machine has stopped spin cycle due to an unbalanced load.

Long fill time — the machine is taking too long to fill with water.

Lid switch error — the safety switch detecting the lid position is not working properly.

Motor fault — the drive motor has detected an abnormal operating condition.

Unbalanced Load — the drum cannot reach safe spin speed due to an unbalanced load.

Motor Overload — the drive motor is drawing excessive current and has been shut down.

Control Fault Codes — GE dishwashers use flashing light sequences or C-codes to indicate specific faults.

Long Drain — the dishwasher is taking too long to drain.

Water inlet issue — not enough water is entering the dishwasher.

Water overfill or drainage error.

Oven Overtemperature — the oven has exceeded the safe temperature limit.

Stuck Keypad Button — one or more buttons on the control panel are registering as continuously pressed.

Stuck Relay on Control Board — a relay controlling a heating circuit is stuck in the ON position.

Control Board Fault — the electronic range control has detected a fault and cannot operate.

Oven Temperature Sensor Open — the oven probe circuit is open.

Door Latch Fault — the oven door latch cannot complete its lock or unlock cycle.
